Board of Editors of Economics and Business special issue - VNU Science Journal publishs the regulations on the components of research report including content, technical format and debate policies: 

   I.  Regulations on the research report components


   Articles submitted must be the original article, never been published before. Report may use Vietnamese (for Vietnamese edition) or English (for the English edition), content length from 10-12 pages of A4 size (Times New Roman font, size 11) with the following main components:


   1. Title: The title is usually from 10-15, directly shows the content of the article. The title must be in capital, bold letters in the center of the pages.


   2. Author name, degree, name and address of working organization. The bottom of the first page has full information about e-mail and phone number of the author contact.


   3. Abstract: from 170-200 words in length, including 4 critical components determining the article content: the purpose of the article, research methods (research subjects, data, analysis methods) and the main conclusions of the author. Each article includes an abstract in Vietnamese and an abstract in English.


   4. Key words: 5-6 keywords, listed in alphabetical order.


   5.Introduction: Research background and research problem, literature review, the hypothesis or research purposes.


   6. Materials and Methods: include Experimental details and Theoretical basis. Author presents the data collected and methodologies by answering these questions: (1) What data is used? (2) How is it used? (3) Where and when is it completed?

   7.  Result: Shorten the experimental results and not mention the findings of them. Data is arranged in models, tables, figures, pictures, etc. If any data is in order to tables, it will be not followed to figures and tables.


   8.      Discussion: (1) Analysis the results, pros and cons, (2) Relationship between research results and the previous findings in literature review. This contribution supports the theories and knowledge, or adjust the limitation of previous research.


   9. Policy Implications: Suggestion or policy recommendations from research findings.


   10. Conclusions: Significance of the results obtained and the prospects for future research.


   11. References: List all documents cited in the article in order of alphabet: author name (year of publication), works, place of publication, page number (See specific instructions in the article "Regulation on materials presented quote and references").




   1. Numbered headings


      In the text of the article, the main item is bold, left justified and numbered continuously in Saudi digits. The level 1 of subsections (eg 1.1) is bold, italic and level 2 of sub-section (for example: 1.1.1) is italicized but not bold. All pages must be numbered continuously.


   2. Tables, drawings, charts


   Tables, figures, charts in the article should be numbered continuously, have descriptive names correspond exactly to extract content and referred. The number order of name of tables is placed on the table, and the number order of tables, charts is placed below the figure. Particularly, chart presents original form, the use of black and white columns or symbols.


   3. Documents, References


   Special issue is applied following Harvard standards to references and documents. Cited references are divided into two main types: the articles (in-text reference) and a list of references (reference list). List of references is placed at the last page, each article must be cited in corresponds to the resources listed in the reference list. (See detail in the "Regulations on the material presented citations and references in scientific papers").




   4.1. Abbreviations


   The phrases used many times in the article are abbreviated. The acronyms are used only after they are introduced after full terms at the first occurrence in the article. For example, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU).


   The common units of measurement are used immediately without having to get a reference when they first appear (such as km, cm, etc.)


   4.2. Uppercase


   The case studies include: Name of organization; name of the individual; name of the institution that is used in the phrase as adjective modifiers not capitalized (example: State economy).


   4.3. Date format


   • Vietnamese date format: day / month / year

   • English date format: month, day, year (eg, October, 3rd 2010)

   4.4.4. Number format  


   Format numbers in Vietnamese: comma (,) represents the decimal group sequence; dot (.) represents the sequence clustering unit, tens of hundreds of thousands ...


   Number format in English: Vietnamese opposite: a comma (,) is the subgroup representing unit number ranges, dozens ... hundreds of thousands; dot (.) represents the decimal group sequence.


   4.5. Caption


   Captions are placed at the foot of the page in the article content, each annotation are numbered in ascending order (1, 2, 3 ...). The captions should be concise, cover only the additional information needed.


   III. Debate Policy


   The scientific papers are assessed for the content, quality and presentation form by Board of Editors and experts, scientists invited. When the expert opinions of the requested repairs, additional, specialists will send the article to the author for editing. When having approval of appraisal professionals and Director of Editors, articles will be posted in-line.
